The Anne Frank House today welcomed its millionth visitor this year: 15-year-old Amanda Conjamalay from Watford in the UK. She was visiting the Anne Frank House together with her classmates and teachers from Queens’ School for an educational programme and museum visit. The class was presented with a copy of Anne Frank’s diary and a construction kit of the Secret Annexe, and Amanda Conjamalay was also given a book about the life of Anne Frank. “I’m overwhelmed”, said Amanda.

Every year the Anne Frank House receives visits from over 1,000 school groups, who follow an educational programme before their museum visit. The majority of these school groups come from the Netherlands, followed by groups from Germany, Belgium and the UK.
The Anne Frank House is once again heading for a record number of visitors this year: 1,227,462 people visited the museum in 2014.
